Sacha Williams, MD, PhD(c), MS, MPH

Sacha Williams (she/her) is a Jean Martin Laberge Global Pediatric Surgery Fellow and PhD candidate at McGill University (PI: Dr. Dan Poenaru). She received her HonBSc in Human Biology, and BA in French Language and Literature from the University of Toronto. She subsequently completed a BEd at York University, MD at Ross University, MPH (Global Health, Maternal and Child Health) at the University of Massachusetts, and a MS (Biotechnology) at Johns Hopkins University. Sacha has held research fellowships from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Plastic Surgery), and Johns Hopkins University (Pediatric Surgery). She also received a Global Surgery certificate from the University of Oxford. Her current research explores associations of gender inequity with pediatric surgical access and outcomes in Africa. Sacha is strongly committed to health equity, social justice, and serving marginalized communities.
