The COGS Program Committee is looking for new members!
Program committee members have a 3-year term.
Below are some of the roles and responsibilities :
Design and evaluate annual meeting activities and make recommendations (e.g., workshops, speakers, topics).
Advise new strategies for adapting to changes in the annual meeting's scale, complexity, and format.
Identify the educational needs of the sex and gender research community.
Establish evaluation criteria for the selection of member-submitted abstracts.
Review member-submitted abstracts and build symposia, talks, and workshops in accordance with COGS constitutive principles of community and academic representation across the career spectrum.
Ensure scientific quality, ethics, and appropriate conduct in research and practice of the annual meeting program in accordance with the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
Design the featured program summarizing the conference's academic activities.
Review and approve annual meeting activities developed by other committees and groups.
Observe and collect feedback from colleagues and participation in other meetings.
Evaluate the success of the annual meeting through participant feedback on the sessions and other activities.
